these were the first drawings I made this year - a gentle reset in my practice. slightly more detailed than my earlier line work, each piece is drawn freehand in fluid, continuous ultramarine lines, allowing the flowers to unfold naturally on the page. the lisianthus are rose-like, yet more delicate - soft, flowing, and understated, with a calm rhythm that runs through the whole collection.
though they all begin from the same floral reference, each drawing holds its own subtle differences. the repetition brings cohesion, while the variation keeps them alive and personal.
